Illinois passes two laws for solar power development

Illinois’s solar power scene is headed for brighter times after Governor Pat Quinn passed two laws on Tuesday(19 August 2010) that strengthen homeowners’ solar installation rights and direct utilities to meet existing solar purchasing deadlines.
China's wind power industry is facing three bottlenecks
First, the wind power issue is the development of China's wind power industry prominent bottleneck. According to the China Electricity Council statistics, in 2009 China's total wind power installed capacity reached 22 million kilowatts, and the network unit is only 16.13 million kilowatts, and the network unit is not more than 1 / 4.
UK wind power generation increases

An old water wheel at Dartington Cider Press in Devon has been refurbished and is now generating electricity.
The wheel, which is driven by water brought in a leat from Bidwell Brook, was originally used to power the looms which made Dartington tweed.

China has a very long shoreline with a 0.11 billion KW of tidal energy, a total potential installed capacity of 2.179 million kW and annaual energy output of 62.4 billion kWh.
